Enter Semi-Underaged Lientra

Alzmer grinned a little at the bartender " I see, I'm 22 myself. Though I've heard many people mistake me as older."

Lientra looked him over a bit before nodding. "Yeah, I would have thought you about... oh, 26 or so." She said, shrugging. "So, you in town for a while?"

"For a tad, it really depends when I get my next job, this is where my home is though so I always end back here though." Je said with a small shrug.

She nodded, taking a drink of her water. "It's good to have a home to come back to, eh?" She paused. "I just live in the shop--Central's a bit expensive for me." She said, smiling.

"I live in a small apartment, I had the chance to but a house a few times, but why buy a house if an apartment has more than enough room?" He said with a small shrug.

She nodded, smiling. "As long as there's enough room to practice alchemy, there's no need for a bigger space." She said. "You're not staying with relatives? Usually family will have more than enough accommodations." She asked, becoming even more curious about this stranger.

"I don't have any family..." He said in an emotionless voice he never did miss what he never really grew up with.

"Oh." She said, frowning at her lack of forethought. "You know, my family kicked me out of town. If it makes any difference to you." She admitted, grinning slightly, though her eyes remained sad.

"I'm sorry to hear, I really wouldn't know how that feel." He said. "For a few years in my life I was forced to live in the streets."

Lientra frowned sympathetically. "How'd you get back on your feet--if I may ask?"

"Worked at it, started to do odd jobs save up my money, I slowly became better and I started to do more high paying jobs. Though it's hardly was hardly anything proud to do, but I got back on my feet and I guess I'm doing alright with myself now." He said with a small grin.

She nodded, smiling. "I know how that is. My side job isn't exactly optimal, but it does the trick for now." She crossed her arms and leaned them on the bar, resting her chin on them contemplatively. "What do you do when you're not working? During the long days, I mean."

"Uggh when I'm not working I tend to just relax, I don't exactly have much of a social life." Alzmer said with a sigh and shrug.

"So no friends in the city, then?" She asked, smiling. "Me neither, all of my old friends live in Ishbal."

"I don't have much time tobetween work and recovering." Alzmer said looking at the clock it was about 9:00.

Lientra looked at him quizzically. "Recovering?" She asked, glancing sideways at the clock as well, noting that she should be getting back to the shop to lock up.

"Yeah, I find myself in danger on a daily basis." He said with shrug as he finsihed his water. "Lucky I'm a quick healer."

Lientra eyed him, then shrugged. "It's probably rude to wonder what your job is, then, eh?" She said, looking down at the bar, nails tapping against her glass cup.

"It's alot of things, so it's hard to classify." Alzmer said ooking at the bar's floor.

She frowned. Curiosity killed the cat... She shook her head, then glanced at him, smirking. "You could always try."

"I guess if you wanted to classify it...it'd be a elite hand for hire." He said with a shrug.

Lientra nodded. "I see. What was your most recent job, for an example? If you don't mind me asking."

"Think it was I had kick the shit outta a bunch of thugs that were messing with this little family and blackmailing money from them." Alzmer said sighing a bit, he hated talking about his job.

She blinked. "Oh." She said with a breath, looking back down to her water cup. After an awkward sort of pause, she spoke again. "Since I'm Ishbalan, it may come as a surprise that I'm a specialist in the military." She said quietly, not taking her eyes off of the cup.

"Nope." He said silently as put his shoulder on the table and his head on his shoulder.
